This is our credo.

COLLECTION & TRANSPORT
We provide Mosan users with a regular collection service at convenient collection points, located in the areas covered by our service.
Users deliver their containers to our collection points, where our staff provides fresh containers and mentains a close relationship with users. After the collection we take care of the transport from the collection points to our transformation center.
We consider human excreta as a valuable ressource, that contains nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, that are immensely beneficial for agriculture. Each of these fundamental nutrients plays a key role in plant nutrition.
We separately process urine and feces and transform them into valuable fertilizers that can be reintroduced to .
The reuse of human excreta is the final step of the sanitation system. As a result of our process, we currently obtain two products: biochar and struvite. Biochar is a charcoal product that can be used as a soil amendment, improving soil quality and it can help sequester CO2, absorbing it into the soil acting as a “Carbon Sink” greatly reducing greenhouse gases globally. Struvite, a phosphorus mineral, can be directly applied in agriculture as a fertilizer.
We promote awareness on water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in order to accelerate behavioral change. Our methods of conveying information are based on direct community involvement, educational events, and creative workshops.
Our products are co-created with local communities. We impulse innovation through Design Thinking – a process for creative problem solving – involving users at different stages of the project, from the identification of needs to the creation of a customized service to fit the specific reality, culture, and context.
